A war is happening

A war that you can not put your finger on

Traditionally wars are thought to be happening in the world

But this war is closer to home
​
It’s happening inside of you
​
Just imagine a battlefield

A place where the war is waging
​
Yet the enemy is within you
​
This is what resistance is
​
It is a war happening within you, right?

Yet you know you have a vision for your life
​
It sits deep within your heart
​
I want you to imagine it
​
This dream of yours
​
Don’t be shy, what is this dream?

This dream is the good guy.
​
Yet there is a “bad guy”.
​
Trying to stop you from realising your dream
​
You have to defeat this bad guy
​
But we all know, this bad guy usually wins
​
Wins more times than we care to admit
​
This “enemy” is called resistance
​
We’ve all been there
​
When our insides feel like tug of war
​
One side is the dream and the other side is the nightmare, the resistance
​
Resistance that old foe is responsible for all of your discarded dreams
​
Your failed dreams
​
It is the nemesis responsible for your sabotaging behaviours
​
It is the foe responsible for your procrastination.

Yet we have it all wrong
​
We’ve been trying to fight the resistance, yet we lose
​
Lose most of the time
​
A bit like David trying to fight Golithe on Goliath’s terms
​
You’ve heard the expression, what you resist persists, right?

Well it's true.
