Knitting with Katherine Katherine is a workshop tutor providing knitting classes to all ages and abilities. Katherine also A small number of crochet classes are also available.

Katherine offers a wide range of knitting classes and workshops, from Learn to Knit to more advanced techniques, such as stranded colour work, knitting with cables and brioche. Get in touch if you'd like further information about these workshops or if you'd like to make a booking.

Oldest Son's jumper: Day 2
The pattern is a pleasing combination of slipped stitches and changing texture. The photo isn't doing the rib any justice, but the subtle slipping stitches with the yarn at the back of the work is complimented by the opposite in the main body.

No, I haven't measured it yet (Armhole = 43cm from cast on edge 🫣)

I have an acute case of castonitis - yet, I know, that after the initial dopamine hit of actually casting-on, the weight of another WIP is not the ideal tonic for my already unsettled mind. Plus, I need to swatch for a third time (sigh) for the next project I have lined up. And although I have the yarn wound, and the perfect swatch for a different project (my "emergency back up" from when we were away last year), I'm no longer confident that I can replicate the tension.

..... "Mainly", 'cos we've also been eating (scones and other delicious baking), drinking a whole variety of coffees (why have the same 😆) and putting the world a little bit to rights (which also involved expanding our vocabulary, and no, I'm not sharing those new definitions here 🤫 😉😘)

And, happily, this was the theme of my morning. On first glance, the second photo may look like just a plate of treats, but when each one was given by a different individual, it actually represents a tight circle of friends, old and new, present in person or thought 🥰
