As part of , Year 6 took part in an investigating the chemical reaction between hydrogen peroxide and yeast. They observed how the yeast acted as a catalyst, causing rapid bubbling and helping them explore concepts such as reactions, enzymes, and gases in a fun, hands-on way. 🧪🔬

Year 6 have been exploring the work of Andy Warhol and using it as to create their own . They used their drawing and painting to produce some fantastic pieces! 🎨🖌️

Year 4 conducted an into conductors and insulators by building simple and testing different materials to see if could flow through them! They discovered that metals are great and were surprised to find that the nib of a pen can conduct electricity too! 🧪⚡🔋 💡

A handful of our Y5 children recently enjoyed an unforgettable study visit to ! 🇪🇸☀️

Throughout the week, pupils explored the beautiful — from the black volcanic beaches of Puerto de la Cruz to the golden sands of Las Teresitas. They visited a banana plantation, learnt about Canarian , tried Spanish foods and practised their speaking skills with pupils at our partner school, CEIP Maximiliano Gil.

They took part in exciting activities including beach games, swimming, snorkelling, music workshops, Canarian wrestling and even learning about the unique whistling language, Silbo Gomero!

Most importantly, pupils showed outstanding , curiosity, kindness and enthusiasm throughout the trip, making wonderful memories and friendships along the way. We are incredibly proud of the way they represented Viridis Schools as brilliant language ambassadors. 🇬🇧🤝🇪🇸

recently cared for chicks in the classroom. They were fascinated as they watched them from eggs and grow into fluffy . They especially enjoyed observing and gently holding and stroking them as part of this hands-on learning experience. 🐣🐥💛

As part of , Year 6 took part in a circle time to share and discuss their families. They explored what means to them and enjoyed reflecting on the different and activities they share with their loved ones. 💛👩‍👦

During our weekly sessions, our Y3 ambassadors supported their peers in practising and recalling key facts through oral rehearsal. To finish, they took part in a fun tug-of-war game to reinforce their and check their understanding. 🔢🧮✖️
