Bolingbroke Academy is a four-form entry secondary school in Battersea. We are part of the ARK Schoo Bolingbroke Academy is part of the Ark network.
Ark Bolingbroke Academy is a non selective secondary school located in the heart of the London Borough of Wandsworth. The Academy opened in September 2012 with 120 Year 7 pupils. The Academy will be fully subscribed in 2018, with 700 places for 11 โ 18 year old.

The sun is shining on our y12 Geographers who are currently on the Dorset Coast! Day 1 was spent exploring the succession of the dunes at Studland. They had their first PAGM (Personally Awesome Geographical Moment) at Old Harry Rocks and looked at how Swanage is protected from the elements of the coast. On day 2 they explored more of the Jurassic Coast, collected data for beach analysis of the world famous Chesil Beach and had more PAGMs at the UNESCO sites of Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door. Great work Geographers!

A great night had by all at Open Evening 2021! Thank you to all prospective students who visited our school this evening. A huge shout out, also, to our wonderful BBA student volunteers and our dedicated staff! We are so proud of our courageous, compassionate school community.
Our Yr10/11 netball team played in their first tournament on 4th October, losing only 1 out of 4 games and drawing against the best team in Wandsworth to secure 3rd place. Great starting achievement as they have had no competitions since yr8/9. Massive well done to the girls - onwards and upwards from here!

Today, Mr Judge, Ms Alabi and 17 students attended a series of workshops and lectures at , led by the fantastic Dr Williams. They were challenged to ponder the meaning of the American Flag, the meaning of spelling and even the meaning of life! Following a walk around the city, they left Oxford feeling suitably inspired - a great Monday all round! ๐๐ผ๐ง ๐

Our y12 Oxbridge and Medicine students spent their Saturday completing mock entrance exams and finalising their personal statements.
Each student left the session knowing how to improve on admissions tests and with concrete actions for their personal statements.
In two weeks, they head to Oxford to live a day in the life of a student.
Thank you to Mr Judge, our KS5 Oxbridge Co-Ordinator and Critical Thinking Lead, for doing such a fantastic job with them!
Thank you to two inspirational speakers from for speaking to our y12 historians live from the Middle East about their experiences of life as a former IDF soldier in Israel and an activist in Palestine. Many of our Sixth Form were inspired to take up the leadership programme, building skills in conflict resolution. Thanks to Mr Newey for organising such a fantastic event. ๐๐ผ

**BREAKING NEWS** We are delighted that Tom Rye (Assistant Principal: Key Stage 4 / Digital Strategy) has been nominated for the Pearson Digital Innovator of the Year 2021 Award. Tom has been instrumental in Bolingbroke Academyโs success in distance learning since March 2020. Over 90% of our young people engaged with live lessons with over 165,000 hours of live teaching provided over two lockdowns across 7 academic year groups.
