Celebrating an Outstanding Year 11
We are incredibly proud of our Year 11 pupils and all they have achieved today. These results are a testament to their hard work, resilience and determination, and there is so much to celebrate across the year group.
We are particularly pleased to see a significant improvement in our Mathematics outcomes, with nearly 70% of pupils achieving a grade 4 or above, while 70% of pupils achieved a grade 4 or above in English.
There have also been some exceptional high-grade achievements, with pupils securing more than 219 grades at grade 7 or above, including an impressive 128 grades at grades 8 and 9.
We are especially delighted with the results in Community Languages, Sociology, PE, Computer Science and French, where 80% or more of pupils achieved a grade 4 or above.
There have been some outstanding individual achievements across the year group. Jessie E achieved an exceptional nine grade 9s, while Imogen W achieved eight grade 9s and a grade 8. Rosie K achieved six grade 9s and three grade 8s, and Kalina S achieved five grade 9s, three grade 8s and a grade 7. We also celebrate the fantastic achievements of Michael D, Deniz D, Elisa A, Daniela C, Sophie D, Kalifa D, Kerem Gr, Ayza K, Kaya H and Elif K, all of whom achieved multiple grades at 7, 8 and 9.
Elisa said: โ€œThese results are a reflection of the hard work and dedication of our teachers and the support they have given our pupils throughout their time at Heathcote. Thank you so much to all of our staff for their commitment, encouragement and belief in our young people.โ€
The message from our pupils today is simple: start revising early, don't stress, work hard and practise, practise, practise! Their success shows what can be achieved when pupils combine determination with consistent effort and the support of their teachers and families.
We were also delighted to welcome Iain Duncan Smith, Paul Treacy and Simone, our local councillors, to share in today's celebrations. We really value their support and interest in being part of the Heathcote journey, and it was fantastic for them to see first-hand the achievements of our pupils.
Congratulations to the whole Year 11 cohort. We are incredibly proud of you!

We're celebrating another bumper year of improving A-level results! 57% of entries achieved A*-B and 82% achieved A*-C, while most importantly, 100% achieved A*-E, meaning every pupil successfully passed their A Levels, along with placing us in the top 10% nationally for pupil progress!

Damilola achieved three A grades and will study Computer Science at Queen Mary University of London, while Kayla achieved four A Levels, including two A* and two A grades, and will study Molecular Biology at Imperial College London.

Gabriel and Daniel both achieved two A grades and an A*. Gabriel will study Mathematics and Statistics at Queen Mary University of London, while Daniel will study Psychology at York University.

Ellie achieved D*D D*D and will study Biomedical Science in Hertfordshire. Other pupils are moving on to exciting destinations, with Anthony heading to Kingโ€™s College London to study Natural Sciences, Amir beginning an apprenticeship with Aeon, and Ishrat taking up an apprenticeship with the BBC.

The school was delighted to be joined by local councillors Councillor Wing and Councillor Adams, who shared in the celebrations with Heathcoteโ€™s top-performing pupils and congratulated them on their achievements.

Our Year 7 students had a fantastic first day at Gilwell! After months of dedication and preparation, Rashmiya took to the prestigious stage at London's Cambridge Theatre, delivering her powerful speech, "Truth Be Told," in front of an audience of over 1,000 people.

To reach the Grand Final is an outstanding achievement in itself, with just 15 students selected from more than 30,000 young people across London and Essex. To finish 3rd is simply phenomenal.

Her confidence, passion and powerful message made us all incredibly proud. Rashmiya truly embodies what it means to use your voice to inspire others.

โšฝ๏ธ Heathcote creativity shines! ๐Ÿ“–๐ŸŽค
In English today, Year 8 pupils India and Poppy impressed us with a fantastic cinquain performance poem, inspired by the excitement surrounding Englandโ€™s World Cup campaign.
Following the cinquain structure, they demonstrated excellent understanding by including:
โ€ข Line 1: a noun
โ€ข Line 2: two adjectives
โ€ข Line 3: three verbs
โ€ข Line 4: a descriptive phrase
โ€ข Line 5: returning to the noun from Line 1.
Their confident performance, expressive delivery and creative language showcased the high standards of learning and oracy we are proud to see at Heathcote School.
A brilliant achievementโ€”well done, India and Poppy! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ–ค

๐ŸŽค๐ŸŒŸ An Incredible Achievement for Year 10! ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŽค

Ms Close, Ms Bashal, Ms Reid and Ms Gasper had the absolute pleasure of watching Year 10 pupil Rashmiya take to the stage at the Jack Petchey Speak Out Challenge! Grand Final at the Cambridge Theatre after months of hard work and preparation.

Rashmiya had the honour of opening the Grand Final with her powerful speech, 'Truth Be Told', captivating the audience from the very first moment.

To reach the Grand Final alone is an extraordinary achievement. Out of more than 20,000 Year 10 students from schools across London and Essex, Rashmiya was selected as one of the top 15 young speakers.

And the amazing news?

๐Ÿฅ‰ Rashmiya was awarded 3rd place!

We are incredibly proud of her confidence, resilience, passion and dedication. She represented Heathcote School & Science College with professionalism and poise, and her success is thoroughly deserved.

A huge congratulations, Rashmiyaโ€”you have inspired us all. We can't wait to see what you achieve next! ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ‘๐ŸŽ‰

๐ŸŒŸ Year 8 Achievement Assembly ๐ŸŒŸ

This morning, Ms Gasper had the absolute pleasure of celebrating the incredible achievements of our Year 8 students.

What a fantastic morning it was! We presented many, many certificates, ยฃ100 worth of vouchers, chocolates and prizes to recognise pupils for their outstanding achievements across the year. Awards celebrated excellence in subjects, effort, progress, high attendance, excellent behaviour, and for consistently demonstrating our school values by being Ready, Respectful and Responsible every single day.

I couldn't be prouder of this year group. Their resilience, determination and commitment throughout the year have been outstanding, and it was wonderful to take the time to recognise so many individual successes.

We also took a moment to reflect on the fantastic memories and experiences we've shared together during Year 8. Now, we look ahead with excitement as our students move into Year 9โ€”an important milestone as they begin preparing for their GCSE journey.

Congratulations to every pupil who received an award today, and well done to all of Year 8 for making this such a memorable year.

Bring on Year 9... the Class of 2029 is ready! ๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿ†๐Ÿ“š
