We turn pupils playing into progressive policy.

On Tuesday, while the children were enjoying the Festival of Play Dundee, alongside Gabriella Castaneda from Interactive Entertainment Scotland, Shahneila Saeed was delighted to host a roundtable on Supercharging Scottish Skills.

We gathered representatives from the games industry, the Scottish government and Scottish education to discuss where the skill gaps are, what can be done to fill them and how Scotland can keep its hard-earned place at the forefront of an £8.6bn industry.

We want to help the next generation get from classrooms to boardrooms and beyond, one digital skill at a time.

The Festival of Play Dundee is here!

We are delighted to be bringing creative computing workshops to the pupils of Scotland.

Local companies talking to children about their careers and showing what they do.

Innovative lessons showing children how computer games can teach the computing skills they need.

All thanks to EA - Electronic Arts and Abertay University .

For five years, our Festival of Play with EA - Electronic Arts has done more than just show children Computing can be fun. It has shown them that people like them make the games they love.

As Shahneila Saeed says, if children can see it, they can be it, and at the Festival of Play they can see themselves being the gamemakers of tomorrow.

Skills, careers and joy – that’s the Festival of Play in a nutshell.

Our relationship with EA - Electronic Arts doesn’t just support pupils, it supports educators too. Any teachers who come to our Festival of Play get resources they can take back to their classrooms, as well as inspiration for how to teach with tech.

As the relationship has grown, Electronic Arts has supported us even further in our work, even hosting our teachers at our Ingenuity Day.

Digital Schoolhouse has always been about supporting teachers as much as supporting pupils, building a world-class coalition of have built a world-leading coalition of educators, academics and video games businesses with a shared commitment to changing lives for children and young people, and our relationship with EA - Electronic Arts is a perfect example of that.
