Maria Poppins is 3!
Three years of learning, growing, playing, discovering and creating so many beautiful memories together.
What a journey it has been! Our story has been shaped by an incredible team, the trust and support of our wonderful families and, most importantly, by the children who fill our nursery with energy, laughter, curiosity and happiness every single day.
To celebrate this special milestone, we wanted to say a little thank you to our amazing staff and families, who have been such an important part of our journey.
To every family who has trusted us with their little one, to every member of staff who puts so much love into what they do, and to every child — past and present — who has made Maria Poppins what it is today:

As we step into this new month, we bid a heartfelt farewell to our wonderful preschoolers at Maria Poppins. 🎓 Your journey with us has been truly special, and we wish you all the happiness as you embark on this exciting new chapter of your academic life.

To our fresh toddlers arriving from the baby room, we’re thrilled to welcome you! 🌈 We’re ready for a joyful restart filled with laughter, learning, and new adventures.

🌼 Have you read our April newsletter yet? 🌼

This month, we’re diving into some exciting topics! First up, we’ll explore the enchanting land of Ireland, sharing fun facts and cultural highlights that spark curiosity in our little ones. 🇮🇪✨

We’re also highlighting the importance of recycling and how we can all do our part to protect our planet. 🌍♻️ It’s a great opportunity to teach our children about sustainability!

Though we won’t be holding our Green Club this month due to our Parents Meeting, we encourage everyone to stay engaged and share ideas for future activities.

Additionally, we’re celebrating St. George, the patron saint of England. Let’s inspire our children with stories of bravery and kindness! 🏴‍☠️🐉

And of course, let’s take a moment to remember our little chicks who have gone home. They hold a special place in our hearts! 🐥❤️

This week, the children had a truly special and memorable experience observing the life cycle of chicks. They watched with excitement as the chicks began to hatch from their eggs, listening carefully to the soft “cheep cheep” sounds coming from inside before they emerged. This magical moment sparked curiosity and wonder, as the children saw new life begin right before their eyes. 🥚🐣

After the chicks hatched, the children had the opportunity to spend time with them, learning how to handle them with care and gentleness. They showed great responsibility and kindness while holding the tiny, delicate chicks, demonstrating an understanding of how to treat living things with respect. 🐥💛✨

Yesterday we had a special double visit from one of our children’s mum and aunt! They kindly spent time with the children sharing more about Romania and their culture. 🇷🇴✈️
We enjoyed a fun activity learning about the Romanian spring and listened to some traditional Romanian stories and songs. The children were fascinated and loved exploring a new country and culture through stories, music and hands-on learning. 🌼

This March we have lots of exciting learning ahead! Inspired by our Book of the Month, Dear Zoo, we will be exploring animals you might find at the zoo through fun and engaging activities. 🦒🐘🐒 We will also be discovering the country of Romania, learning a few basic words in Romanian and exploring aspects of its culture. 🇷🇴
During the month we will celebrate Mother’s Day by creating special gifts for our mums, and enjoy the magic of St Patrick’s Day with plenty of green, rainbows and gold. 🍀🌈💖
The most incredible experience of all will be watching chicks hatch in our nursery and learning how to care for them! 🐣

In January we dove into traditional tales, filling our days with cozy story times, creative puppet shows, and hands-on activities that brought beloved stories to life. 📚🎭 The children loved retelling the tales in their own way and exploring the characters through art and play.
We took a special trip to a local Polish store to discover Poland’s traditional foods and learn more about the culture firsthand 🇵🇱🍞
We also explored beautiful traditional Polish folk art, creating our own colorful masterpieces inspired by the intricate patterns and designs. 🎨🌸🐓
