3 Key Reasons why you shouldn’t sit next to your child when they’re studying at home! ✏️
Instead of sitting beside them, we advise you have an “in-tray” and an “out-tray”.
Once your child has finished their work, they pop it into your “in-tray” for marking.
You can then mark their paper in your own time. Once done, put it in the “out-tray” ready for them to complete their corrections…
If they still don’t understand their mistakes, then by all means sit with them and explain the answer to them 😊📚

2022 Secondary School Open Day Dates
If your son or daughter is in Year 4 or 5, we highly recommend you take them to these open days/evenings.
You may feel like it’s way too early to be looking at schools, however, if you’re preparing them for the 11+ exams, it’s only fair they know why they’re studying so hard!
Over the years, we've found children who attend the open days in earlier years are more motivated and focused during the preparation process since they're able to mentally visualise their goal.

If your child is currently in Year 6, please ensure you’ve filled out their secondary school application by the end of TODAY (31st October).
https://www.gov.uk/apply-for-secondary-school-place
Tip: Please put at least 2 schools on the list. By putting only 1, it doesn’t give your child more of a chance to get a place at that school.
If your child does not get into the school you choose as their first choice, it also doesn’t give them less of a chance to get into the school you choose as second choice if they passed the entrance requirements.
For further advice on filling out the application form, feel free to call us on 02081257225.
