Quick one from me.
If you work with young people, you already know… things aren’t getting easier.
Needs are more complex.
Expectations are higher.
And the system doesn’t always make it easy to do the job properly.
That’s the reality.
That’s why this event stood out.
Creating Inclusive Pathways to Support All Young People
It’s not theory.
It’s not policy talk.
It’s real conversations about what’s actually working, what isn’t, and how we move forward.
If you’re a teacher, leader, or working with young people in any way, this is one of those rooms you need to be in.
Because sometimes being around the right people changes how you approach everything.
Search it on Eventbrite and secure your place.
Be in the room.

Is The 48 Laws of Power too toxic for a 13 year old boy?
Here’s my dilemma 👇🏾
Do you give a young boy a book that teaches power, strategy, and how the world really works
Or do you risk teaching him manipulation before he’s built character?
The 48 Laws of Power by Robert Greene is sharp, provocative, and brutally honest
But without strong values, guidance, and context… does it breed confidence
Or narcissism?
Power without principles is dangerous
But ignorance of power is just as risky
So the real question isn’t can a 13 year old read this book
It’s who is helping him interpret it
Should I get him the book?
Let’s talk 👇🏾
Your voice is the most powerful one in your child’s life
It’s not the teacher
Not their friends
Not social media
It’s you
The way you speak to them becomes their inner voice
The way you correct them
Encourage them
Praise them
Challenge them
It all sticks
Even when they roll their eyes
Even when they act like they’re not listening
They are
So speak belief
Speak calm
Speak possibility
Because when the world gets loud, it’s your voice they’ll carry
Tag a parent who needs to hear this today
Comparison is the thief of joy
Your child isn’t supposed to move at the same pace as everyone else.
They’re not their cousin
Not the neighbour’s gifted kid
Not the one with all 9s and a perfect behaviour record
They’re them and that’s more than enough.
The minute we start comparing, we stop seeing our own child clearly.
You miss their quiet progress
You overlook their effort
You forget how far they’ve actually come
Let them grow in their own way, in their own time.
That’s how confidence is built ,not by pressure, but by patience.
Tag a parent who needs the reminder. Your child’s journey is valid.
Celebrate your child’s wins. Even the small ones.
It might be something simple like getting up without drama, finishing a piece of homework, staying calm when they normally would not.
Don’t wait for big achievements to show pride. Confidence is built in the everyday moments.
If your child tried today, showed effort, or made progress in any way, that’s a win.
Let them know you see it. Let them feel it matters.
Because when a child feels seen, they keep going.
Tag another parent who needs this reminder.
Is your child struggling at school?
Sometimes the signs are there but easy to miss
1️⃣ Refusing to go to school
2️⃣ Lots of minor infractions like detentions
3️⃣ Emotional outbursts at home
These can all be signs that your child needs extra support, not punishment.
Don’t wait until things feel overwhelming.

State vs Private School – What’s the Real Difference? 🎓
Every year parents ask me the same question: “Would my child do better in a private school?”
The truth is — it’s not always that simple. In my free Essential Guide to Understanding Secondary School, I break down the real differences between state and private education, and how to make the best choice for your child. 👇🏽
✅ Class sizes: Private schools usually have smaller classes — meaning more one-to-one attention.
🏫 Resources: Private schools often have better facilities, but state schools can access strong community links and specialist support.
📚 Curriculum: Both follow the National Curriculum at GCSE, but private schools may offer extra subjects or enrichment opportunities.
💷 Cost: Private schooling can cost £15,000–£30,000 per year — but that doesn’t always mean better outcomes.
🌍 Diversity: State schools often reflect the real world — a vital part of your child’s social education.
So before making a decision, ask yourself: What environment will help my child thrive — academically, emotionally, and socially?
