⭐ Little Stars have been very busy! ⭐

We’ve been making the most of the sunny weather with lots of park visits, including a trip to Clissold Park where we enjoyed seeing the deer, ducks, swans and birds. 🦌🦆🦢

At nursery, we’ve been exploring construction and tool toys, getting creative with playdough, enjoying stories at the library and keeping active in our garden with scooters, balance beams, trampolines and more! 🛴🤸‍♀️

As part of our British Values display, we explored individuality, diversity and respect. The children looked closely at themselves in the mirror and chose colours to represent their own skin tone and eye colour. They then created their own faces by colouring, gluing and sticking on eyes, noses and mouths. This was a lovely opportunity to talk about how we are all unique, celebrate our differences and appreciate what makes each of us special. 🪞🎨❤️

We also created special letters for our families and enjoyed messy sensory play with spaghetti, pasta, flour and cocoa powder while searching for bugs and making worm mountains! 🪱

It has been a wonderful few weeks of learning, exploring, creating and celebrating our Little Stars! ⭐💛

What a busy and exciting month at Little Stars Nursery 🌟💛

Our little stars have enjoyed so many wonderful experiences filled with fun, learning, and exploration! 💦 From lots of water play and splashing in the paddling pool to messy play discovering different food textures, the children have loved getting hands-on and curious.

We’ve had fantastic playground visits and lovely trips to Clissold Park to see the animals 🐐🦆 and pick beautiful daisies in the sunshine 🌼 The children also enjoyed going shopping, saying hello to the police officers 🚓 and even looking inside a real police car!

Back at nursery, we’ve been practising writing on the garden chalkboard, playing in the sand in the garden, building creatively with stickle bricks, and using our imaginations while playing with small people and vehicles.

One of the most magical moments this month was setting our butterflies free 🦋 Watching them spread their wings and fly away was so special for everyone.

A month full of laughter, discovery, creativity, and happy memories ✨

APRIL RECAP..
This month our little stars have been making the most of the sunshine and warmer days ☀️

We’ve been busy planting cress to take home and share with our families, and helping to wipe the blackboard until it was shiny and new. The children have been practising their tidying skills and learning how to work together as a team, while also getting creative with stencil painting and discovering shapes as they appeared.

There has been lots of messy play fun, from yogurt painting and exploring colours to experimenting with a new “cement-like” texture made from sand, water and cornflour. The muddy cars went through our nursery car wash, with the children working hard to get them sparkling clean, and we even spotted diggers and trucks on our walks.

We enjoyed a lovely visit to Clissold Park where we saw adorable ducklings, and back at nursery there has been plenty of water play in the garden, including sensory citrus activities, lots of splashing, and endless bubble fun. The children have also loved role-playing with baby dolls and dressing up.

So many smiles, discoveries, and hands-on learning moments this month 💛

What a joyful, jam-packed month it’s been! 💛

Our little learners have been busy baking cookies and making their own delicious pizzas, getting creative with Lunar New Year fans for Chinese New Year and crafting beautiful crescent moons and stars for Ramadan.
