Zip Zap provides weekly drama, music and sensory classes for children under 5. Our Little Zippers is for 10 months up to 5 years old and our Baby Zappers is for babies up until they are walking or 10 months. Each individualised class provides an exciting mixture of music and drama –written in consultation with an Educational Psychologist - which are linked by our weekly theme. Zip Zap combines t

raditional nursery rhymes with upbeat and lively pop songs, which will have children and carers alike bopping along to the funky beats. Every week at Zip Zap, children explore a thrilling new theme through performance and games, ranging from Colours, to the Wild West, to the Night Sky. Our professional cast of two performers welcome each child to join in the journey whether it’s clapping and singing along, or playing a leading role in one of our sing-a-long songs. 🍂 Hello, autumn! We’ve missed you! 🍂

Our new term starts 1st September, and we’re so excited to welcome you back — with lovely new venues in Hampstead and East Finchley, alongside all the long-time favourites you know and love.

It’s always so special seeing familiar faces, meeting new families and filling our sessions with a little autumn cosiness!

Earlier this month, Zip Zap was approached by the BBC to visit one of our Islington baby classes and speak with parents about their experiences of having babies in the Borough of Islington. With Islington currently recording the lowest birth rate in the country, the BBC was exploring the reasons behind this trend.

It is always humbling to be approached by organisations such as the BBC. Over the years, Zip Zap has also been featured in The Guardian and on ITV, and has welcomed visits from the Department for Education. We never take for granted the opportunity to give the parents and carers who attend our regular classes a platform to share their opinions, experiences, and perspectives.

On Thursday, Zip Zap had the pleasure of entertaining at The Ivy Street Family Centre in Hoxton—and what an incredible place it is!

Tucked away behind Hoxton Street Market, this wonderful centre provides a safe, welcoming, and nurturing space for families in the local community. Moya and Zoe had the best time meeting the amazing co-ordinator, Toddy, her daughter, and all of the lovely families who made us feel so welcome.

We had such a fantastic morning, filled with smiles, laughter, and connection. Thank you for having us!

If you’re local to the area, we’ve shared their website and highly recommend checking them out. Whether you’re looking to hire a space for a children’s party or make use of their fantastic Baby Share Room—an invaluable resource offering baby clothes, equipment, and essentials to families who need them—The Ivy Street Family Centre is a truly special community hub.
