Relationships are at the heart of early learning.
At Magic Roundabout Nursery Kennington, our little ones explored a basket of open-ended materials together, sharing resources, exchanging ideas and discovering new ways to play.
Through moments like these, little ones develop communication skills, confidence and an understanding of how to connect with others. Simple interactions often become meaningful opportunities for learning and collaboration.
In the spirit of the Reggio Emilia approach, little ones are encouraged to learn alongside one another, building knowledge through relationships, curiosity and shared experiences.
Sometimes the most valuable learning happens in the moments we share together.

Curiosity begins with hands-on exploration.
At Magic Roundabout Nursery Stockwell, our babies enjoyed exploring clay using a variety of loose parts and natural materials, including leaves. Using their hands and feet, the little ones pressed, squeezed, dug and shaped the clay, discovering its texture and how it responded to their movements.
Through experiences like these, little ones develop their physical strength, sensory awareness and creativity while following their own ideas and interests.
In the spirit of the Reggio Emilia approach, open-ended materials provide opportunities for little ones to investigate, experiment and make sense of the world around them through exploration.
Every touch, mark and discovery is part of the learning journey.

Learning begins with exploration.
The babies at Magic Roundabout Nursery Lenton enjoyed the opportunity to make their own playdough, investigating how different ingredients changed as they were mixed, squeezed and combined together.
Using their hands and a variety of tools, the children explored texture, movement and cause and effect through a rich sensory experience. Following their natural curiosity, they experimented freely, making discoveries and developing their fine motor skills along the way.
In the spirit of the Reggio Emilia approach, everyday materials become opportunities for children to explore, question and construct their own understanding of the world around them.
The joy is found not only in the outcome, but in the process of discovery itself.
