If you are looking for childcare this Summer, Fun Days Holiday playscheme is running from Monday 26th July 2021 to Friday 20th August 2021. Please contact us for applications form.

Opening over the summer is something we have thought long and hard about.
We have monitored advice from the government and looked at the ever changing advice on a daily basis.

Tina and I met this week to look at the hall and whether we could feasibly keep children at a safe distance. We spoke about a reduced service perhaps working for 2-3 weeks. We also thought about having smaller groups of children for example 15. However those 15 would have to book for the full session to make it cost effective and to maintain a bubble. The logistics of all of this are, unfortunately, too much.

Having staff and children in bubbles, social distancing, whether staff or children have underlying health conditions and if staff could commit to working for the whole summer. They may be required to work with key worker children in school over the summer etc.

We have to think about everyone’s health from staff to children and their families. The last thing we want to happen is that a child becomes unwell, whilst at playscheme, thus jeopardising the rest of the groups return to school in September.

We wouldn’t be able to go out as we would normally do and we felt that children would come to the playscheme expecting things to be as they normally are whereas things would be very different!
The normal funding we would receive was not applied for due to Covid so prices would have had to go up and hours reduced to prevent travelling during rush hour and right now we thought that wouldn’t be helpful either.

So unfortunately we will not be open over the summer. Depending on how things pan out we hope to be up and running in October. We hope you all stay safe and well and we look forward to seeing you all again soon

What a busy fun filled week we had at "Fundays" last week. We did Arts & crafts, went on a nature walk, visited the Wonderlab, enjoyed doing our own experiments on science day, we visited the new adventure playground at Holland Park and finished our week with a game of bowling and a burger. We all had a fabulous time.
