Centre Stage Youth Theatre Company is a Theatre Company for Young People aged between 13 and 21 based in East London. Each Season brings different work.
Centre Stage Youth Theatre Company (Formally POV Youth Theatre Company) is a Theatre Company for Young People aged between 13 and 21 based in East London. CSYT was set up in 2014 by BRIT School Musical Theatre Alumni Dylan Poulton with the aim to give other young people an opportunity to have access to the Performing Arts. CSYT officially opened it’s doors in February 2015 after just under a year
of hard planning. We strive to bring self-confidence, self-belief and self-exploration to all of the young people involved in our company. We are a Community Theatre Company unlike any other. All of our Creative Team Members work within the Theatre Industry. We also have excellent links with Industry Professionals who come in on a regular basis to hold Masterclasses and be a part of the Creative Team for our our productions.
Our Production Season
Each year at CSYT is called a Season. Previous Seasons have included writing our own Musical based on the lives of the cast. The CSYT Season begins in September and ends in July. Each Season is different and will have a different aim. The primary aim is to produce a minimum of four productions during each Season. These productions are generally as follows:
A R***e or Small Musical in December
2 Plays (or music / dance showcase) in March
A Full Scale Musical in June
Some Seasons may follow a different route with the Season being based more on "opportunity" rather than production itself. Each Production in the Season will have a Professional Director, Musical Director, Choreographer as well as Professional Designers working on them. There are also opportunities for some of our older Members to gain experience by shadowing one of these professionals.

At the end of the production, their membership will come to an end and they can choose if they would like to become and Associate Member or a Full Member.
Production Participation Fees
We try to subsidise fees as much as possible and if cast in a production we do ask that all members pay a small participation fee. This fee will vary from production to production and will depend on the size of the cast and location of the Production. The layout of Participation Fees is as follows:
This Production Fee goes towards producing the production and enables us to obtain show licences etc.
* You will only be involved in one out of the two Plays that we stage.
** Depending on the Musical, the size of the cast, and the location of the production (eg Edinburgh Fringe or London) Fee may be higher than stated.
