30% of sick days in social care are due to mental health, stress & work-related stress.
(British Psychological Society, 2022–2023)

One question changes the conversation:
"What's your current sickness rate?"

If you don't know - that's the problem.
If you do know (and it's high) that's the cost of doing nothing.

With 165,000+ children living in temporary with conditions often being highly inadequate (including. Our of area placements, far from schools and support networks, poor living conditions, families in one room, no cots for babies, unable to cook).

Affecting the lives of our next generation now!

Urgent collective action is required. Our CEO Dr Emma Williamson attended the homeless families conference in solidarity today with and hundreds of others to highlight the need for change and look at what we can achieve together.

We’ve been looking through back through our Instagram story archives and found a load of memories (and quite a few old Instagram fonts and boomerangs too! 😂)

Filming our courses, conferences, and everything in between since creating our account in 2019. It’s been very nostalgic looking back - but we’re so glad we captured all of this along the way!

So much has changed, and we have so much to be proud of! 🙌

Enjoy this little throwback compilation! ⏯️

Up next in our 'Meet The Team' series, is Ambia Begum: our Operations and Systems Transformation Manager!

Get to know Ambia a little bit more…

💬 What does a typical day look like for you…
Working in a startup means I wear multiple hats across operations, transformation, project management and product development. From testing prototypes to reviewing analytics and identifying opportunities for improvement, I’m always focused on helping the business run more efficiently and grow.

💬 Tell us a little bit about your background…
I previously worked in a corporate role within financial services, specialising in tech and product management. Alongside this, I’ve freelanced with businesses on growth and improvement projects.
My experience centres around identifying opportunities, working closely with teams and delivering projects that align with strategic goals. Transitioning into this space was a conscious step towards aligning my work with impact and I’m excited to be part of a team driving meaningful change.

💬 What you’re most looking forward to for aneemo this year…
There’s a lot to look forward to this year. I’m especially excited about the launch of our XR and AI capabilities within our training. It’s a great opportunity to use technology to transform healthcare training and empower staff with the tools and confidence to handle complex, real-world situations.

💬 What are your hopes to achieve with aneemo…
I’m excited to support the launch of our first suite of XR training solutions and help shape more innovative, tech-driven approaches to learning within health and social care. I also want to play a key role in scaling the business by building efficient systems and processes that enable sustainable growth.

💬 Finally, describe aneemo in 3 words…
Purpose Driven, Ambitious, Empowering

Thanks Ambia!

Learning at Work Week is a reminder that personal development and growth only happen when we intentionally make space for them.

Whether it’s trying something new, reflecting on practice in your role, or building confidence in challenging situations, dedicating time to learning at work benefits both individuals and organisations. Growth doesn’t happen by accident, it happens when learning is valued and supported.

And learning doesn’t always happen in traditional ways. Sometimes the most meaningful lessons show up in unexpected places when we get curious, creative, and step a little outside our comfort zones.

What’s something new you’ve learned recently that’s given you practical skills you can bring back into your workplace?

Today’s Vulnerability Registration Service Conference brought new faces, new connections, and a shared commitment to creating products, services, and systems that work for everyone.

We heard from some fantastic speakers, including hearing someone speak openly about their lived experience and how often it is the environment around people that creates the feeling of disability.

It was a powerful reminder that organisations should continually strive to remove barriers and design services around the individual, not expect individuals to adapt to the system.

Providing the right solutions is important, but how we respond in our interactions can have the greatest impact. Treating people with kindness, empathy, and humanity is what truly makes a difference.

Dr Emma Williamson, Lucy Squance and Lucy Brown were there today starting these conversations, and the team look forward to continuing them.

We’re excited to build on these discussions and explore how we can work together to broaden training and support for frontline teams working with vulnerable populations.

Trauma-Informed Care isn’t just a tick-box course...

It’s about how organisations think, design services, and respond every day with safety, compassion and understanding at the core.

But it can’t sit with frontline staff alone. Embedding TIC takes trauma-informed leadership, supportive systems, reflective cultures and realistic workloads.

🎥 Lucy shares more in this quick video.

Up next in our 'Meet The Team' series, is Kelly, who leads on all things Commercial, Business Development & Partnerships!

Here’s what we asked Kelly!

💬 What does a typical day look like for you…
A mix of calls, demos, ideas and a lot of coffee! One minute I’m speaking with councils or charities, the next I’m building partnerships or figuring out how we grow aneemo in Australia. No two days are the same, which I love.

💬 Tell us a little bit about your background…
10+ years across partnerships, events and commercial roles (with a soft spot for startups). Most recently in healthtech at Florence, plus I’ve run my own events business so I’m very used to juggling a lot and keeping things moving.

💬 What you’re most looking forward to for aneemo this year…
It feels like a big year. We’re growing, evolving and expanding into Australia and it genuinely feels like we’re just getting started.

💬 What are your hopes to achieve with aneemo…
To grow aneemo in a way that actually matters, building strong partnerships and getting our training in front of the people who need it most.

💬 Finally, describe aneemo in 3 words…
Impactful, Exciting, Supportive

Thanks Kelly!
