☀️ We know the summer holidays are over… but we’re still holding onto those summer holiday vibes! 🎨🌊

Our Summer Holiday Vibe Workshop was all about bringing the feeling of summer to life — from refreshing mocktails and holidays abroad, to the beautiful British coastline, country houses by the sea and peaceful countryside escapes. 🏖️🍹🌿

Our students explored acrylic painting, colour blending and mixing, pattern and texture, alongside watercolour techniques and expressive mark-making.

A wonderful way to get creative, experiment with new techniques and finish the summer on a high! 💛

☀️🎨 AUGUST SUMMER WORKSHOPS🎨☀️

Earlier this month our students explored the theme “Summer Vibes” with 2 days full of colour, creativity and fun! 🍦🍹🏖️

From colourful mocktails and ice creams to beautiful beach scenes, students experimented with acrylic painting and collage, developing their understanding of colour theory, colour mixing, blending, brush control and attention to detail. 🎨✨

For their extension work, students explored summer-themed embossing, adding colour and texture to create even more exciting artwork.

And of course, no summer workshop would be complete without a picnic in the beautiful grounds! 🧺🌳☀️

A truly beautiful and creative couple of days filled with smiles, exploration and some amazing masterpieces. 💛

🏡🌸 English Cottages & Floral Gardens 🌸🏡

What another beautiful evening at our monthly adult art workshop at The Robin Hood

Our students created these stunning English cottage scenes, combining watercolour, colour theory, delicate brushwork and expressive mark-making.

To add another layer of texture, we also introduced collage elements, creating beautifully detailed pieces that feel both personal and full of character. 🎨

And the final touch? Seeing our students frame their work and leave with something they’re genuinely proud to display at home — or gift to someone special. 🖼️✨

We’re loving seeing the smiles, creativity and confidence grow with every class. ❤️

We’re taking a break from our monthly adult art class in August, but we will be back in September for another wonderful workshop ✨

🍎 So Real You Might Try to Pick One Up! 🍏

Our students have been creating stunning realistic apples on round canvases using acrylic paint, and the results are simply amazing! 🎨✨

Throughout this project, students focused on colour mixing, colour blending, tonal values, and capturing realistic reflections to bring their apples to life. Their hard work, patience, and attention to detail have truly paid off.

The best part? Someone from Jazz Apples happened to stop by while the artwork was on display and was so impressed with our students’ paintings! What a wonderful, unexpected compliment. 🍎👏

Monthly Adult Art Class 🎨✨

This month, we explored mixed media and acrylic painting inspired by Claude Monet and the Impressionist movement. Through blending, dabbing, expressive brushstrokes, and layered textures, our students captured the beauty of Monet’s famous Water Lilies and gardens.

I’m so impressed by everyone’s creativity and the amazing outcomes. Every piece is unique, and it has been wonderful to see each artist grow in confidence.

Our little artists have been learning how to blend colours, create beautiful tones, and explore still life through thoughtful compositions using oil pastels.

🍎 Watercolour Apples That Pop! 💥

Our Juniors class has recently been exploring colour mixing and blending, creating a range of tints and tones to bring these apple studies to life.

From highlights to shadows, the students focused on capturing realism, depth, and form through careful observation and brushwork.

We are so impressed with the vibrant results and the progress our young artists continue to make! 🎨✨

Our Infants art class students created these adorable Liberty Teddy Bears in watercolour a few weeks back 🧸🎨

Focusing on colour blending, texture, and detail, each young artist brought their teddy to life with beautiful watercolour techniques. The personalised paws made every painting extra special and perfect for gifting. 💝

Once their artwork was complete, students proudly framed their paintings and learned how to carefully wrap them, ready to be given as a thoughtful handmade gift to a family member or friend.

A wonderful lesson in creativity, presentation, and the joy of giving. We think these teddies are simply adorable! ✨

Acrylic Ink Ocean Painting 🌊🐠🌅

(Monthly Adults Art Workshop) 🖼️🎨🖌️

What a wonderful evening it was exploring the beauty and fluidity of acrylic inks! Inspired by the ocean, our monthly adult art class created vibrant compositions featuring shoals of fish, boats, and surfboards.

Students focused on key artistic elements including line, form, pattern, shape, and composition, while developing their colour blending and colour mixing skills. We also experimented with exciting ink techniques, using sea salt to create unique textures and beautiful organic effects.

The fluid nature of the inks made for a relaxing and therapeutic creative experience, and it was fantastic to see both familiar faces and new students enjoying the process together.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for a fun evening of learning and creativity. I can’t wait to see what we create next!
