The John Roan School The John Roan school was founded in 1677, we are one of the oldest state schools in the country, with a rich and distinguished past.

Having received funding under the government’s Building Schools for the Future initiative, we have now opened our doors to one of the UK’s most stunning, innovative and flexible learning environments. The John Roan has been dedicated to serving the community of Greenwich for more than 335 years. With a brand new, state-of-the-art building at Westcombe Park and a fully redeveloped facility at Maze Hill, we are perfectly placed to deliver the highest standards of education into the 21st century.

A huge well done to our Year 11 students! Clean sweeps at Grade 9! 🎉✨

This morning, celebrations at The John Roan School have once again begun as students receive their GCSE results – representing improvements on key headline measures and reflecting those seen at the school’s Sixth Form last week.

Among those celebrating were four exceptional students who achieved clean sweeps across the board for the top Grade 9: Felix, Rory, Ned and Joseph.

Celebrating fantastic A-Level results at The John Roan Sixth Form School! 🎉

Our Sixth Form students celebrated receiving their A Level and BTEC results today. We are incredibly proud of all our Year 13 students and the dedication they have shown throughout their studies.

Among those celebrating were Alfie and Jacob, who have secured places at Oxford and Cambridge Universities, a fantastic achievement!
