In two weeks time - 19h-21h30 CET, Jeudi 30 Novembre - I'm running a free "taster" session for an English course aimed at advanced French speakers.
I hope to find enough students to begin the course in January.
With the Israel and Palestine reverberating in French politics, this is the subject for the session in two weeks. It will be participatory, we will share knowledge and perspectives, nobody needs to be an expert or to take a position.
The session will be on Zoom but I'll still be in Cambrai for a week more after that, and maybe we can meet in person. I also bought a little printer and made some leaflet which I'll distribute in town over the next two weeks when it's not raining...
Please find the register via the website:

This was June 2022, asylum seekers and activists from Wembley protesting the Rwanda deportation plans - which have today been definitively ruled unlawful by the Supreme Court. This follows the equally good news of Suella Braverman's sacking.
But there is still much to resist. People are being moved onto the Bibby Stockholm again, and we're trying specifically to stop one of our friends who is being forced on from Wembley. Some of the people in this photo are still waiting on their decision! And those receiving decisions right now are being given 5 days to move out from their hotel and find private housing.
Resistance can win - big credit to the organisations who pursued the legal cases and to all the people who mobilised and changed the political weather.

The continues to ramp up its + profit from it.
Employers hiring people without permission to work are subjected to civil penalties, while people without permission to work continue to be arrested or detained by immigration enforcement.
We reject immigration raids, the demonisation of migrant workers + the proliferation of borders in the workplace.

I've only got two more weeks teaching at the Voice of Domestic Workers. Full class today, meeting their new teacher Anne. A good time to analyse the strengths of the organisation and what members are bringing to it.
