Spring has sprung which means a different variety of outdoor activities, planting seeds, sprucing up our garden with a little makeover and lots of colourful indoor fun 🫟

This is how our Caterpillars have been celebrating by exploring with a food sensory experience in the tuff tray, arts with the prosperous colour red and using our large grippy tweezers (as chopsticks)

This week at Little Gems…

1. It’s not always group story time, sometimes it’s 1-1 or 1-2, wherever we can fit in a quick book or 2 we will, reading stories is incorporated into every activity we do & in between. There are never enough books 📚

2. In the Butterfly room (Toddlers) they explored a sensory edible tuff tray this week, using mini beasts and discussing the world of insects 🐞

3. The babies (Caterpillars) did a hand washing activity where they got to scrub off the ‘dirt’ from the hands with sponges, a fun water play experiment 🤚🏽

4. Dragonflies (Preschoolers) did expressive arts a little differently by having fun with dressing up & role play and using the dance scarves to dance in character 🎭
