As the choir's summer break draws to a close, weekly choral services at St Mary's Wimbledon resume this Sunday at our new service times: Holy Communion at 10am and Choral Evensong at 6pm. All welcome!

Sunday Service Times at St Mary's are changing from the 9th August 2026:

Following extensive consultation and the experimental period in May and June we are changing the times of some of our Sunday services. There will be three services each Sunday:
8am BCP Holy Communion,
10am Holy Communion
6pm Choral Evensong.
There will also be a quarterly healing service in the evening usually on the 5th Sunday of the month. We hope to see you soon!

The Choir of St Mary's Wimbledon embark on our annual summer tour this week, from Thursday 30 July to Monday 3 August. This year, we are headed to the picturesque landscape of southern Bavaria, where we will be singing in Füssen and Pfronten, nestled in the Alpine countryside near the iconic Schloss Neuschwanstein.

This Saturday (25 July) at 7:30pm, the Choir of St Mary's Wimbledon present a charity concert in support of our choral and organ scholarships, with works by Palestrina, Ireland, Byrd, Whitacre and other composers. Last weekend at Downside Abbey, the Choir of St Mary's Wimbledon performed a concert of sacred classics and sang at Pontifical Mass, with works by composers from Palestrina to Whitacre. It was a wonderful opportunity to make music in a historic venue with a great acoustic, despite the slightly temperamental organ! Thank you to Nigel Kerry and the Downside Abbey Festival for hosting us – we look forward to taking part again next year.
