Electric Pedals
Based in Peckham, London. We design, build and run bicycle powered installations. Cinema, music stages, education and art.
Electric Pedals is all about energy appreciation, education and the environment. We can be hired for bike-powered events ranging from cinemas to music stages. At our workshop in Peckham, we specialise in building bespoke kit & installations - working with art galleries, theatres, music festivals, community events and even councils for Christmas Tree displays, which are all bike-powered. We're always looking for more adventures with pedal power.

Music box inspired rotating Christmas tree unveiled in Victoria Station.
The tree celebrates the 200th anniversary of the birth of Victoria and Albert. This year’s Christmas tree in Victoria Station will provide visitors with an experience that is both nostalgic and interactive, taking inspiration from the Victorian music box. Situated in the main concourse, this year’s tree celebrates the station’s namesake, Queen Victoria, marking 200 years since her birth. This is particularly apt given her husband Prince Albert is credited with introducing the Christmas tree to Great Britain in 1840. As with a real music box, the tree will spring to life when it is wound up (which passers-by can do via pedals around the base) – then stand back in awe as the tree produces festive music and rotates. The top of the tree is decorated with a rotating Anna Pavlova figurine, to reflect the same statue atop the Victoria Palace Theatre. Vivid Design Works and Electric Pedals were commissioned to design the tree by the Victoria Business Improvement District (BID).
