This is what all those rehearsals are for.

A stage full of young people who have learned their parts, supported each other, overcome nerves and created something together.

Not every child who comes to Reflect Productions dreams of becoming an actor, and they don't need to. Because the confidence to stand up, speak out, work with others and give something a go will serve them wherever life takes them.

Interested in seeing what performing arts could do for your child? Come and try a class with us in Merton Park.

A mermaid, and a rather comfortable-looking seagull… just another day at Reflect Productions.

This is what we love about children’s theatre.

Different ages, different personalities and different roles all coming together to tell one story.
No role exists on its own, and learning to support one another is as important as learning to take centre stage.

One of our favourite things about show day? Watching all those weeks of rehearsals suddenly come together.

The lines. The movements. The costumes.

And then comes that moment when they walk onto the stage and realise: I know what I’m doing.
That feeling of achievement is pretty special.

The faces say it all!

Performing isn’t just about remembering your own lines and moves. Children learn to watch, listen and respond to the people around them — because a great performance only works when everyone works together.

One of the things we love most about performing arts is the freedom children have to play.

To pretend. To experiment. To be funny. To make bold choices without worrying about getting everything “right”.

Sometimes learning happens best when it feels like play.

There’s something rather brilliant about watching a young performer completely commit to a moment.

Acting encourages children to think beyond themselves, understanding characters, emotions and different perspectives while learning how to communicate them to an audience.

Those are skills that reach far beyond the stage.

Serious performance business… complete with a crab mask.

For our younger performers, drama is all about imagination, movement, music and having the freedom to join in.

Little moments like these are where children begin learning to listen, follow direction, work as part of a group and feel comfortable performing in front of others.

Sometimes confidence looks exactly like this.

Getting up in front of an audience is a BIG deal when you’re little. Learning the movements, remembering what comes next and performing alongside your friends all help build independence and self-belief.

And the best bit? They’re having fun, they don’t even realise how much they’re learning.

That smile says quite a lot!

Yes, we teach acting and performance skills, but we also want our students to LOVE being here.
Having somewhere to be creative, a little bit silly, make friends and feel completely comfortable being themselves is every bit as important as what happens on stage.

That moment when the costume goes on and it’s time to become someone completely different.

Performing gives children the chance to explore characters, emotions and stories, and to discover just how much they’re capable of when they step outside their comfort zone. We love watching that confidence grow, from rehearsals right through to the stage.
