Small Acres School

Small Acres School Small Acres was a democratic school with different approach to education. At Small Acres children were free to play, to learn and to be outdoors.

Small Acres is a new school now open in South London. Located in Peckham Rye Adventure Playground, we use beautiful Peckham Rye Park as our classroom! Small Acres is a place where learning happens outdoors, where adults step back and allow children the space and freedom to learn, play, take risks and be creative. We encourage flex-school for homeschooling families and we have 3 day places currently available. We aim to be open 5 days per week in the near future.

“When children are overwhelmed they lose the precious down time they need to explore, play and release tension. Too many choices erodes happiness, robbing kids of the gift of boredom which encourages creativity and self-directed learning. And most importantly “too much” steals precious time”
