Trophy sculptures! 🏆

The children have been making mini trophies for their Final Summer term Art project! 🎉

So much fun making these using boxes, straws and jelly/jello cups! 😎

As always I have loads of fun designing and making these projects for 6-11 year olds. 

Improving dexterity, concentration, confidence and creative individuality! 💪

Pancake sculptures! 🥞

Requested by our year 6's! 🙌 Inspired by the Artist Claus Oldenburg, who made paper mache food artworks back in the 1960s! And the children couldn't resist putting smiley faces on them, like the popular food toys! 😃 🎉

The children learnt how to shape newspaper into rings, rolls and balls to create the puffy pancakes with berries and...LEGS!! And decorate using brightly coloured tissue paper.

So much fun making these food sculptures! 🙌🥞

The children made sculptures inspired by their favourite breakfast food! 💕 We love encouraging individual expression and being inspired by various sources combined, is part of the process of creativity!

I love how in all our classes, the children make something unique to each child. Didn't they do well?l! 🎉 What's your favourite breakfast food?

🐥Collage Landscape with Yellow Birds! ✂️ For this terms Collage Art Project, the children have been making their colourful, cut out versions of Paul Klees Landscape with Yellow Birds, 1923. 

🖼️ They used magazines and beautiful blue patterned origami papers for the trees and plants, used mirror card to show the reflections from the moon and drew their yellow birds in all kinds of different poses! 🐥So much fun and excellent results, everyone! ✂️

Food Prints! 🍹Paintings made by children aged 6-11.

In my Step by step Print Making classes, the children first drew out 3 recognisable summer foods and drinks. ☀️🍰 Then they carved the drawings into poly blocks and printed them in bold, saturated colours! Some even used a gradient effect for different parts of the foods....didn't they do well!? 🍦☀️

Seahorses! Drawn by children aged 6-11, aren't they FANTASTIC?! 🌊

In my Step by step Drawing classes in London, the children learn very important observational skills: how to actually SEE what's Infront of them and not what they THINK they see. (Although I do let them add a few fun details at the end!)
