We’re busy behind the scenes putting together a brand-new Acting syllabus for the new school year at Big Time Academy, and we can’t wait to get started! ✨

Because acting classes aren’t just for children who dream of being on stage or screen.

They help children learn how to…
🗣️ Speak clearly and confidently in front of others
💡 Think on their feet and respond in the moment
🤝 Work as part of a team and really listen to others
🧠 Develop focus, memory and concentration
💭 Explore imagination and creativity
❤️ Understand different emotions and perspectives
🙋 Have the confidence to put their hand up, share an idea and be heard
🎤 Present themselves with confidence, whether that’s in an audition, an interview, a presentation or simply meeting someone new

Not every child in an acting class will grow up to be an actor, and that’s exactly the point.

They might become a doctor, lawyer, teacher, entrepreneur, engineer or anything else they choose. But the ability to communicate, collaborate, empathise, problem-solve and walk into a room with confidence? Those skills go everywhere with them.

Our new syllabus will combine improvisation, character work, scripts, storytelling, public speaking, ensemble work and performance skills, giving our students plenty of opportunities to find their voice, take creative risks and grow in confidence.

This week at camp has been an absolute blast! 🌟🎭

From singing showstopping Broadway tunes and bringing iconic scenes to life, to getting creative with our Addams Family potion bottles, Legally Blonde shopping bags and dazzling Hearts of Stone crafts, it’s been a week packed with music, imagination and so much fun.

The energy, laughter and talent have been incredible, and we are SO excited for show day! We can’t wait to welcome all our grown-ups and show you everything we’ve been working so hard on. ❤️✨

We are absolutely loving the energy, confidence and sass our younger campers are bringing every single day! 🎭✨

They’re singing, dancing, acting and throwing themselves into every moment with huge smiles and even bigger personalities. We think Friday’s performance is going to leave everyone with a smile... and who knows, maybe the sun will come out! ☀️😉

It’s been a little quiet on here... but only because we’ve been busy catching our breath after an incredible term! 💙✨

What a few months it’s been...

🌟 Shrek The Musical – 70 amazing children, 6 performances and an incredible 248 costumes bringing the magic to life!

🩰 RAD Ballet Exams – including some of the very first exams for our youngest Primary Ballet students (we’re so proud of them!).

🎭 Mock West End Auditions for our Professional Pathways students, giving them invaluable experience in front of industry professionals.

👀 Wonderful Watching Weeks, where families got to see just how much their children have grown in confidence and ability.

🎤 West End workshops led by professional performers, inspiring our students with real industry training.

⭐ And some exciting professional firsts for our agency children, with bookings including Sainsbury’s... plus a few exciting projects we can’t reveal just yet! 🤫

Now we’re already busy planning another term packed with inspiring classes, exciting performances, industry opportunities and unforgettable memories.

Our certificates are ready, the studios are full of excitement, and our students have been working so hard to perfect everything they can’t wait to show you.

From the tiniest improvements in confidence to huge breakthroughs in technique and performance, it’s been amazing to watch every single student grow this term. Seeing them perform in front of family and friends is always such a proud moment for our team. 🧡
