The safest day of the year at Falcons Chiswick. We have a school full of Super Heroes! KerPow!

Superhero Day! Last day before half term break and the boys have morphed into super heroes!

Year 2 enjoyed a ‘splendiferous’ visit to the Roald Dahl museum. We experienced the blowing of good dreams into our ears, went into W***y Wonka’s glass elevator and were shrunk into mini figures and broadcast onto a screen like Mike Teavee! Our day was filled with wonder and awe at the inspirational life of Roald Dahl.

Hannah Shuckburgh will be performing her new book Archie’s Apple, an enchanting story about a little boy who discovers a new variety of apple and becomes world famous. Based on a true story,

it was described by the FT as ‘sweet, funny and utterly unique’. Stay for an apple-themed art activity.

Ages 4-9

We are still buzzing from our amazing Leavers Party hosted by none other than the INCREDIBLE ! Everyone had the opportunity to be part of the show, and the day will be one our Year 2 boys won’t forget for a long, long time. We wish our boys the best in their future endeavours and adventures, and look forward to seeing them when they come and visit!

We did it again! Shortlisted for the third year in a row. We’re so proud of our wonderful school and we love it when other people recognise how wonderful we are too! 😍

We are so proud to have been part of such a wonderful evening where our very own Miss Sandor was shortlisted as one of the best TA’s in the country! Although we did not win, we are incredibly thankful to Miss Sandor for all her hard work and dedication each and every day. 😀

GAME ON!

Playing games such as chess, genius square puzzles and Scrabble with friends is not only a great way to practise cognitive skills such as problem solving and strategic thinking, it also teaches pupils to be patient, set goals and creates a feeling of being included.

Our Year 2s jump at the chance to play games like these, and we (as educators) notice that it increases their focus and teaches them how to be a good loser.

As part of our ‘People Who Help Us’ topic the Little Falcons had some special visitors today. Thank you to the British Transport Police who came in to tell us about the important role they do.

Our favourite day in Mini Falcons is forest school day! 🌿☀️🌻 This week at forest school we made mini beast homes, went searching for insects, dug for worms, rode in the forest school trolley and had lots of fun with our friends and teachers!
