Psst... can you help us? We have just announced our 'New School Essentials Grant 2026'.

We know from our Spotlights and Shadows research that 69% of actors and stage management with one or more child dependent face challenges in relation to day to day living costs, including household bills.

Over the summer holidays and as the new school year approaches, parents face additional costs for holiday clubs, uniforms and other school essentials which can make an already difficult financial picture even tougher to manage.

This is why we have introduced a School Essentials Grant for Summer 2026. Actors and stage management can apply for a one-off grant to help with these costs and make the summer period a little bit easier.

Looks like a scary sci-fi monster but it's actually a picture of my vocal folds shut then open. Complete closure means a stronger voice. You can always improve your voice with excercises that harness your into voice. If you think your voice is weak or hasn't recovered properly after an illness, ask your GP to refer you to your nearest voice clinic. Contact [email protected] for more information on exercises.

RIP wonderful voice actor and mimic . Such a talent! Her voice was so full of life. Worked on the animated Mr Bean, and for loads of years on Week-Ending playing Margaret Thatcher and the late Queen. She leaves a legacy of many different on games and animation.

I saw Spanish Oranges near Ladbroke Grove, this weekend. What a treat. Wonderfully directed by , good performances, particularly from 'Abo. Full of surprises. Tickets £25, ends March 7th.

A big belated thank you to Harry Burton for the Self-Tape workshop with in the Marylebone theatre. Fantastic, packed with tips and so much to practice. Raising self-taping to an art form (something to really practice, play and enjoy) rather than a necessary last minute chore. Thanks to everyone at . Finlay Robertson was to give the workshop but his amazing self-tape (which we saw) got him the job and he was out in Buenos Aires filming the commercial. Membership is £15, the venue is light and airy, perfect for the great workshops lined up.

St Paul's Church is a Church of England parish church located in Bedford Street, Covent Garden, central London. The church has gained the nickname of "the actors' church" by a long association with the theatre community.

It's that time when Edinburgh Fringe is starting to finish and here comes Autumn and have I got time to buy a woolly sweater. But there is still time to see The Ritual, Marcus is Alive, 3 Chickens Confront Existence (below), The Bacchae, Clean Slate and Skinny. I hope that a few at least will tour Fringe Theatres in England.
