As another day of Welcome Week comes to an end, here’s a quick reminder about what to look forward to for tomorrow:

On 21st May 2024, thanks to the campaigning effort of the National Union of Students (NUS) and Students’ Union across the UK, the government has announced it WOULD NOT scrap or restrict the Graduate Route Visa 💼
But we can extend our rights further...by voting in this General Election 🗳️ 💪
The General Election will take place on Thursday 4th July 2024. Each of the 650 Constituencies across the United Kingdom will return one Member of Parliament (MP) to the Westminster Parliament. A UK Government will then be formed which will govern for up to five years.
More importantly, international students from Commonwealth countries, British Overseas Territories and Ireland are also ELIGIBLE TO VOTE in this election. All students who are eligible to vote MUST REGISTER BY MIDNIGHT WEDNESDAY 18TH JUNE ✅

Are you a student looking for part-time work from September? If so, we may have just the thing for you!
We are looking for a number of students to join the LMSU team in the following positions:
1 x Student Voice Assistant working up to 10 hours per week
2 x School Rep Assistants working up to 13.5 hours per week each
2 x Student Activities Assistants working up to 10 hours per week each
3 x Student Receptionists working up to 10 hours per week each
These roles are all part-time and offer flexibility to fit around your studies. The rate of pay is £13.44 per hour including holiday pay.
