Choosing the right secondary school is one of the most important decisions a family will make, and we believe there is no better way to get a feel for school life than seeing it in action.
Alongside our Open Evening and Open Morning events, we offer personalised Open Morning visits throughout the year. These dedicated visits provide families with the opportunity to tour the school during a normal school day, observe lessons, explore our facilities, and ask questions in a more personal setting.
While our larger events are a fantastic way to experience the wider Haydon community, many families find that a smaller, one-to-one visit helps them gain a deeper understanding of what makes Haydon such a special place to learn and grow.
Book your visit today and discover how we support every student to achieve individual excellence in a caring community. www.haydonschool.com

Year 8 Camp Update
We're pleased to let families know that our Year 8 camp cohort has arrived safely and everything is going according to plan.
Students have settled in well and are already enjoying the activities and experiences on offer. The only challenge so far is that mobile phone reception in the area is quite limited, so communication may be less frequent than usual.

Our Silver DofE participants showed outstanding resilience, teamwork and determination during their assessment expedition, completed in record-breaking May temperatures. Despite the challenge, they rose to the occasion and should be incredibly proud of their achievement.

Last week, seven former Haydon students were recognised with the prestigious Gold Duke of Edinburgh's Award at Buckingham Palace, marking the culmination of years of commitment, resilience and personal growth.
Congratulations to Fraser, Zakariya, James, Sienna, Giacomo, Isabelle and Scarlett on this outstanding achievement.
The Gold Award is the highest level of the Duke of Edinburgh's Award and requires participants to complete volunteering, physical and skills sections, undertake challenging expeditions, and make a residential contribution alongside young people they have never met before. Reaching this stage takes determination, perseverance and a willingness to step outside your comfort zone.
It was a truly inspiring day and a fitting celebration of everything these young people have achieved. While we were only able to photograph some of the award holders on the day, we are incredibly proud of all seven recipients and the journeys they have taken to reach this milestone.
As they begin the next chapter of their lives, this achievement serves as a reminder of what can be accomplished through hard work, resilience and a belief in your own potential.
Congratulations to all seven Gold Award holders. Haydon School is proud of you.

Our Year 9 students enjoyed an exciting and educational visit to Silverstone Circuit, led by the Maths Department. Throughout the day, students explored the famous track and museum, took part in an engaging workshop, and gained valuable insight into the logistics, engineering, business operations and pricing behind major sporting events. A fantastic opportunity to see how maths is applied in the real world beyond the classroom.
