Maths Private Tuition

Neuroscience student at UCL offering 1-to-1 tuition at a rate of £30/hr - subjects include:
- Maths (GCSEs and below)
- Biology (GCSEs and below)
- English (primary school level)
- 11+ focused Maths
- yr2 SATs focused English

I graduated from Henrietta Barnett school with an A* in maths and A in Biology. I have been tutoring students of different age groups for 3+ years, all of which have gotten their desired grades/schools or above. I have also worked as a teacher assistant for a year.

My approach:
I tend to tailor my approach to the student’s needs. However, for secondary school students, I usually devote the majority of the time going through exam questions and techniques as well as addressing any gaps in the student’s knowledge. For primary school students, I try my best to evoke an interest in the subject and make sure that they are confident in the foundations of maths. In general, I like to focus on problem solving and make students think for themselves rather than just memorising rigid methods and formulas without understanding them.
