Well, there we have it. Another end to another term. As we approach our 10th anniversary (get prepared to be spammed next April), I feel very glad to have a brilliant team around me. This year, celebrated his 5th year at Heyday. and have helped steady the ship these past 18 months, and proved irreplaceable. In August, came on board to help turn Heyday into a force to be reckoned with (2023 is going to be big). And finally, in October, joined the ranks and made everyone smile. She took these great photos. To thank my team of 5, I took them to karaoke on Friday night and subjected them to a performance of Meat Loaf’s I Would Do Anything For Love. They promptly took the mic off me and belted out some absolute bangers. That’ll do, pig. That’ll do. Merry Christmas to all our schools and students!

What a day. I’m so proud of all the filmmakers that took part in Heyday Fest. Nearly 300 guests watched 17 films made by 4 filmmakers. We’re nearly in our 10th year, and I’m feeling very pleased with all that’s been achieved since 2013. Thanks to the BFI for hosting us, thanks to Alix, Briony and David for their support and hard work, and thank you to the schools for taking a punt on my little company. Can’t wait for the next one..

Heyday Fest at the BFI is nearly upon us! Can’t wait for our 6th annual film festival. 17 schools will be joining us on the 21st April at the Southbank to see the fruits of their labour. Well done to the team for getting these films made whilst delivering all of our usual film courses. I’ll try and do some live video thingy on the day. If I remember.
