Could funding help turn your dance project idea into reality?

The Sue Passmore Award: Broadening Access to Dance supports ISTD members with grants of up to £2,000 to develop projects that increase access to dance participation and education.

The award is open to ISTD members worldwide and can support both new and existing initiatives. From community partnerships and outreach projects to programmes that engage new participants, the aim is to help more people experience the benefits of dance.

A new degree pathway for dance teachers

We're delighted to announce a new partnership with Northern School of Contemporary Dance (NSCD), launching the BA (Hons) Professional Dance Teaching and Education (Level 6 Top-Up Degree), delivered by ISTD Academy from September 2027.

Designed for experienced dance teachers, the programme will support the development of advanced teaching practice, leadership skills and professional expertise, helping shape the next generation of dance educators.

President's Cup is nearly here🏆

On Sunday 6 September, ISTD's Ballroom, Latin American and Sequence faculties head to Chessington Sports Centre for a day of Student Teacher and Couples competitions, Solo Set Dance events, and the President's Cup itself.
