We are not a union, although we do utilise the voice we have as a collective, and through our unique setup swing the pendulum of power firmly back to the actor. Actors’ Guild provides a haven, a support network and opportunities to nurture the talent within our membership. Our programme of ethically run workshops is dictated purely by feedback and suggestions from our membership. These provide the opportunity to meet and work with leading practitioners – casting directors, directors, producers, agents and other actors – to develop craft, maximise creative development and benefit from the professional networking opportunities that membership brings. Our fully inclusive bursary scheme provides on going practical support to actors throughout the year and has no upper age limit. As well as offering a support network, forum and articles, members also enjoy a large collection of exclusive discounts with leading industry service providers. These include discounts on headshots, voicereels, showreels, theatre tickets, tutors and classes, web design, casting resources, professional publications, photographic repros, books, insurance and accountancy – saving members hundreds of pounds each year. TAG is a ‘members only’ organisation and accepts applications to join from professional actors who pass our strict membership criteria. Membership is free for those professionals wanting to use the forum and apply for the monthly bursary scheme; all our other services require full membership which costs just £20 a year. The Guild was formed as an antidote to the increasing number of enterprises that seem to be taking advantage of actors. Providing a haven, a support network and the opportunity to work with the very people you meet in the audition room. When it comes to the workshops and seminars we produce The Actors’ Guild firmly swings the pendulum of power back to the actor. Our program is dictated by feedback from our membership, we never ask you to book in ‘blocks’ and believe quality does not have to cost the earth. We offer an exclusive range of industry discounts for members; a bursary scheme which pays for all the essentials an actor could need for a year, and a support network that brings this often disparate, nomadic community together.

Jeremy is an actor, theatre maker, writer, and teacher.
His directing credits include productions for the National, West End, BAC, and extensively all over Europe and Japan. He has taught at most accredited drama schools in the UK, including thirty years at RADA where he also directed Shakespeare and modern work.

He is performance coach for the BBC and Netflix and was acting coach on Strictly Come Dancing. Recent acting work includes - Vladimir in Waiting for Godot and Puck in A Midsummer Night's Dream, for Chelthenham Everyman, Ken Campbell in Ken for Terry Johnson at Hammersmith, Spike Milligan in A Sockful of Custard, and philosopher Alan Watts in Out of my Head at Pleasance Courtyard, Edinburgh Festival Fringe and soon on tour.
