School of Communication Arts - London The World’s Most Awarded Ad School The current dean, Marc Lewis was one of Gillard’s scholarship pupils. Some agencies donate money to fund scholarships.

The School Communication Arts, first founded by John Gillard in 1985, is an accredited, portfolio-building educational program for Creative Advertising (Copywriting and Art Direction). After graduation he founded a UK Internet company that sold for £20m. He has also won numerous awards for innovation, and written two books on the subject. As an establishment, School Communication Arts is a social enterprise, supported by volunteer mentors, and over 100 agencies. Some donate time. Some do both.
