Camden Council are making changes to make neighbourhoods safer and healthier.

This includes:

👉 Ensuring less traffic uses residential streets as a cut through to main roads
👉Widening pavements to make it easier for people to move around (especially with pushchairs or mobility aids)
👉Supporting cycling by adding new cycle lanes and infrastructure like cycle storage hangers and dockless bike and e-scooter bays
👉Creating Healthy School Streets to make it safer for children and families at pick up and drop off time, supporting more children to walk, cycle or scoot to school.

Camden primary pupils performed well above the national average, according to the latest national performance tables. 👏

70% of Camden’s primary school pupils have achieved expectations in the combined measure for reading, writing and maths at age 11, performing well above the 60% national average. The official figures, which are based on tests taken by pupils in 2023, have been published by the Department for Education this month in their annual performance tables.
