A warm and welcoming family are seeking an experienced, mature and nurturing full-time live-out nanny to care for their two young children. The family are ideally looking for a candidate with a minimum of 10 years’ child-care experience, particularly confident with newborns and toddlers.

The mother is at home, and the father works full-time from the office. From April, the 2-year-old will attend nursery until 1:00pm (located 7 minutes’ drive from the family home), therefore a driver is essential. The family would prefer a nanny with her own car, although a family vehicle can be provided if required.

The role requires a candidate who is confident in taking full charge of the children’s daily routines and adapting to the needs of a growing family. In the first few weeks, the family will also have a night nanny to support with the newborn.

Duties include full nursery responsibilities, cooking healthy meals for the children and family, children’s laundry and light housekeeping, as well as laundry for the parents. A regular cleaner is employed.

The family travel regularly to their home in Spain and would love a nanny who is happy to travel with them (usually once a year for up to three weeks at a time). A minimum of three weeks’ notice will be provided for any travel arrangements.

The ideal candidate will be warm, calm, natural with children, highly experienced and reliable. Polish speaking is preferred but not essential, and fluent English is required. Applications are welcomed from candidates of all nationalities, provided they meet the requirements of the role.

The role starts around 10:00 AM and includes tidying, particularly in the kitchen, emptying the dishwasher, prepping food for the children—including snacks and dinner—tidying the fridge, washing up after breakfast, and other basic household tasks. Deep cleaning is not required, as the family has a cleaner. The ideal candidate should have strong organizational skills.

The children attend the same school in Hampstead, about a 25-minute walk from the house. The younger girl finishes at 2:15 PM, and the nanny can stay with her in the local library or a park before picking up her older brother at 3:45 PM and bringing both children home, either on foot or by bus. Eventually, the children’s pick-up times will synchronize. One day a week, one of the parents might be able to pick up the older boy from school, but this is yet to be confirmed.

At home, the nanny will provide snacks, play with the children, read with them, serve dinner, and follow their bedtime routine. The family prefers a candidate who has experience with two children of similar ages, a good level of English, and is energetic, caring, kind, and passionate about working with children. As the children attend a very academic school, the family would also like someone who can support their development—particularly in communication and other skills—through fun and engaging conversation and activities.
