Sowing & Growing Nursery and Preschool

Our Preschoolers at Sowing and Growing Nursery had an absolutely brilliant time today on their first gardening session at Gothic Lodge! They were buzzing with excitement getting stuck into planting and tidying up with the residents. Not only is it wonderful for children to connect with nature, but the interaction with the elderly residents offers invaluable learning experiences and builds beautiful bonds. We’re so proud of them, and this will be a regular, enriching experience for everyone involved. Look out for more updates from their regular gardening visits! 🧤🌸

🐍🐌🐢🦎 Our Wild Animals Month was a ROARING success! We had some amazing visitors stop by the nursery, including a slinky snake, curious African snails, a chilled-out turtle, a friendly gecko, and the fluffiest chinchilla you’ve ever seen! The children and staff had a blast learning about these incredible creatures.

Language of the month for May is Italian 🇮🇹

The children have been practicing simple phrases, learning about Italy and swipe to see the results of our cooking lesson 🧑🏼‍🍳 🍕 👩🏽‍🍳

This week our little ones have been learning about the life cycle of a caterpillar 🐛

Sowing and Growing Nursery and Preschool (S&G) is a new and exciting setting situated in the West Norwood/Dulwich area with a capacity of 60 children. Our approach sees children flourish in the heart of their own learning within a language rich environment. We do this by working closely with families and our local community to provide the best possible start for children. We intentionally empower our S&G team to successfully deliver the most crucial stage of development.

We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Nursery Educator. The person we are looking for should be a team player and someone who wants to make a positive contribution to lives of children in their early years. The role will be to help ensure all children receive high quality care, are kept safe and are provided with stimulating play experiences which meet their individual needs and support their development.

About you:
• A motivated people person, team player & a willing learner.
• Solution focused & and committed to improve where possible.
• Excellent spoken and written English.
• A strong communicator.
• A reliable, honest individual who conducts themselves with integrity.
• Relevant Level 2 or 3 Early Years Qualification minimum.
• Passionate about childcare with expert understanding of the EYFS curriculum.
• Fun with a sense of humor.
• A desire to progress within the Early Years sector.
