The Seminary family was saddened to learn of the death of Andrew Davies on Monday morning 17th August. He was part of the original faculty of London Theological Seminary 1977-1989. Dr. Paul Mills presented ‘The Dangers of Climate Alarmism’ last month as part of our Summer Lectures 2026. The morning was spent examining three dangers of climate change alarmism: theological & spiritual, ethical, and practical.

For each of these, Paul explained where we are culturally, examined what we see in Scripture, and discussed the positive and negative implications of our current trajectory.

His observations on climate alarmism as a religious worldview and its accompanying religious trappings were particularly appreciated.

It was great to welcome so many people to Dr Graham Shearer’s talk, 'Christ, Kingdom and Politics', last month as part of our Summer Lecture Series 2026. The day also included our inaugural Alumni Lunch.

Dr Shearer presented an immense amount of material to help strengthen the Christian foundations for political engagement. Beginning with 'Politics and Nature' (from Eden, through the Fall, and beyond), he moved on to 'Law' and then 'The Civil Magistrate' and its relationship to the Church, culminating in 'Contemporary Application.' Throughout the day, Graham built on each topic to provide an overview of the Christian principles that should guide our political engagement.
