OPAL ….it’s our commitment to improving the quality of play at break and lunchtime! In September Mrs Cammack will be leading a team of children, parents and governors to make our playtimes spectacular!
We need to start preparing now! Look out for requests for donations: tyres, barriers, cars, dinosaurs , dolls, Lego, push chairs and balls. In the next few weeks the children will be creating their playground charter and sharing their ideas 💡
We can’t wait to get started 🎉👏💙

There is no getting away from the fact that SATs is drawing closer, so lots of revision tonight. We managed to fit in parts of a circle, mapping out shapes on a 1- quadrant grid, tricky missing coordinates on a 4- quadrant grid and even time for some reading comprehension! Phew!
The bonus? These skills will last way beyond SATs week and are preparing this Year 6 group for Key Stage 3 🙌🥳

Superb geometry skills from one of my Year 7 students tonight: we covered so much maths in a short activity:
✅ revised properties of triangles
✅ revised straight line and full turn angles
✅ worked in a logical order
✅ reinforced efficient mental strategies
✅ learnt some new geometric symbols
✅freedom to choose which questions to try 😊

So wonderful to be back after the Easter break. 🐣 These resources were great for our first session back with lots of discussion about efficient ways of working mentally. 🙌
