Walking the labyrinth in the Olympic National Park, reflecting on what makes the Berlin DanceMode experience unique. 🌲

We return to the roots of Blues by reconnecting dance with its first teacher: the music.

Musicians and dancers inspire one another in real time—the musicians passing rhythm and vibration into the dancers’ bodies, and dancers passing the movement from body to body.

Rather than separating workshops from evening parties, the Berlin Blues & Fusion Experience unfolds through seven live-music gatherings:

Thursday night • Friday tea dance • Friday night • Saturday tea dance • Saturday night • Sunday brunch • Sunday tea dance

Our teachers and movement educators work alongside the musicians, creating classes inspired by the music dancers will hear that day. This gives the community shared ideas to explore immediately—connecting more deeply with the music, their own bodies, and one another.

For those who want more time to let the movement settle into the body, the DanceMode Method Training Intensive and Camp Blues offer immersive environments for discovering greater movement potential. At Camp Blues, musicians are part of the teaching team, allowing us to live inside the sound and feel how its rhythms, textures, and vibrations move us organically.
