Feeling proud that I have again helped an ‘unlikely to pass’ GCSE student pass Spanish! Well done, going from a predicted grade 1 to a grade 4 in 8 months!

Lego times tables - concrete and fun!
Immensely proud of my GCSE languages tutees: One got a whopping grade 8, whilst the other doubled his year 10 results to gain a very secure pass. Well done those boys!

For children with dyscalculia, maths needs to be visually appealing as well as concrete.

Counters are great for spelling as well as maths. Reorganising letters to make a spelling word helps the student to remember all the letters in the word as well as the order they come in.

Using counters make place value study colourful and visual. This session was supported by Numicon and Dienes resources to further embed understanding of the value of digits within a number.
