A very special milestone for one of our members!
We’re so proud to share that Amar Amardeep Grewal has been accepted to study at Clay College in Stoke-on-Trent, where he’ll spend the next two years developing his practice💪🏻
Amar first discovered pottery at The Clay Garden through one of our 5-week courses - and quickly became hooked, spending as much time at the wheel as he could.
In his own words:
“As soon as I started a 5-week course at Clay Garden, I was hooked and spent as much time as my back would allow at the wheel.
I’ve now warmed to the thought of spending a life making well-made pots that have utility for people. That’s increasingly feeling like a revolutionary act in this time of unbelievable greed and superficiality.
To be a small part of this ancient tradition feels like such a privilege and responsibility, so much so that I’ve decided to throw all of my money and the next two years into studying at Clay College Stoke.
I simply wouldn’t be lucky enough to attend if it weren’t for the lovely people at Clay Garden.”
We feel incredibly lucky to have been a small part of Amar’s journey so far.
