Dear All,
I am excited to announce that after the success of our creative writing course in 2023, 2024 I will be launching another engaging 12-week creative writing journey starting on January 25th, 2025, from 6 PM to 8 PM. This course is designed for students in Years 4, 5, and 6, and will delve into a comprehensive exploration of 12 common writing topics essential for the 11 Plus and other exam.
Throughout our sessions, we will cover a variety of writing forms, including both fictional and non-fictional story writing, book reviews, newspaper articles, letter writing, diary entries, and more. Each lesson will encourage creativity and critical thinking as we engage in exercises such as beginning a story from a specific line, crafting narratives that start with the conclusion, and writing descriptive pieces based on images.
To ensure that each child develops a strong writing foundation, lessons will focus on detailed vocabulary and writing structures, breaking down paragraphs step by step. Students will receive personalized feedback on their work after each session, helping them understand and improve their writing skills. Additionally, they will keep copies of example answers to serve as references before the exam, reinforcing their learning and preparation.

I am excited to announce that I will be hosting a comprehensive comprehension course tailored specifically for 11-plus students, commencing on 9th December. The sessions will take place every Monday from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM.
Throughout this course, we will delve into various types of comprehension questions. These will encompass information retrieval questions, inference-based questions, opinion questions, tasks requiring responses in your own words, combination questions, and statement analysis. Our goal is to equip students with the diverse skills needed to tackle all types of comprehension challenges they may face in their exams.
We will explore a variety of literary genres, including classical literature, fictional narratives, non-fiction texts, poetry, and works by Shakespeare. By examining different styles of writing, students will gain the ability to understand and interpret texts from multiple perspectives, enhancing their analytical skills.
The course will focus on both open-ended and multiple-choice questions to ensure a well-rounded understanding of comprehension techniques. Hey everyone, I wanted to let you know that I'll be holding extra lessons for 11 plus math. We'll be tackling exam-style questions for all exam boards, providing detailed workouts. Here are the dates and topics:
1. 15th June, Saturday, 9-11 am
Topics: Four operators, special numbers, number sequence, algebra
2. 17th June, Monday, 6-8 pm
Topics: Decimals, Fractions, Percentages, and reverse percentages
3. 22nd June, Saturday, 9-11 am
Topics: Ratio, proportions, and angles
4. 24th June, Monday, 6-8 pm
Topics: Area perimeter, 2D and 3D shapes, time
