🌳WE ARE OFFICIALLY OPEN🌳
Welcome to our brand new full daycare setting at Horniman’s School! We are so excited to offer our outstanding childcare in this beautiful, bright, open plan setting between the hours of 8am - 6pm (Perfect for all of those full time working parents out there)!
We are currently enrolling children aged 2-5 with limited funded spaces available.

Today the children have celebrated St Georges Day. Some of the children dressed up as George and the dragon, they listed to stories and painted flags. The children played with the castles and knights pretending to rescue princesses from the towers!
The children of Lammas Green are amazing at using their imagination to retell stories and create their own games.

Happy Easter to everyone at Lammas Green. The children have had a lovely time meeting the Easter bunny, taking part in an Easter egg hunt and completing lots of Easter activities. We saw some amazing Easter bonnets and the children loved wearing them.

Some of our children went to hunt for the Gruffalo in the deep dark wood this week! They had lots to tell us when they got back to nursery.

The children have been incredibly busy this week. We celebrated St Patrick’s day and did lots of Red activities to support Red Nose Day.

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas 🎄 The children really enjoyed this sensory activity, feeling the different textures and using their fine motor skills to pick up the rice and baubles.

At Lammas Green Nursery Mindfulness is embedded into our daily curriculum. We pride ourselves in helping all of our children grow in confidence, enabling them to become independent and school ready. Our weekly mindfulness sessions teach the children how to manage their emotions and express themselves through verbal communication and Makaton signing.

Today is Children in Need and we all came to nursery in our pyjamas! We did Pudsey colouring, made Pudsey iced biscuits and had a danceathon all day!! Thank you to all the parents and carers who have donated money, don’t forget to look out for Pudsey bear on your t.v tonight.

This week has been road safety week and the children have been learning how to cross the roads safely. We created our own road in the garden with a zebra crossing to practice, and then went to a real crossing to do the real thing! We waited for the traffic to stop, looked both ways before crossing the road. We have also been looking at different road signs and creating our own.

Last month we celebrated Black History month. We danced to different music, dressed up in traditional clothes and learnt about the artist Alma Woodsey Thomas making patchwork pictures. We also learnt about the inventor Garrett Morgan who invented the traffic light and Martin Luther King “I have a dream”.

Today we explored lots of different textures while playing with the pirate ships and diggers. We also collected leaves and painted them to create some beautiful autumn pictures. We also went on a walk and played football together.
