CORE Sports group have been playing badminton, volleyball, kingball and tennis at the centre today. Very competitive and lots of fun.

On Thursday 27th February the CORE Projects team attending an excellent event celebrating the wonderful work our CORE Trainers have done as part of the Disability Competency Training project delivering workshops to frontline healthcare staff on making reasonable adjustments and how to communicate with patients with Learning Disabilities. Each of our team of trainers received a certificate. We heard about how the work they have done in sharing their personal experience of healthcare is helping to make a difference to the patient experience. Well done our amazing training group!

Are you passionate about creating meaningful change and improving health outcomes for people with learning disabilities in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets?
Join ICM Foundation to lead a funded initiative aimed at enabling and empowering people with learning disabilities to take part in community leisure activities.
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Learning Disability Coordinator to lead a collaborative project focused on improving the health and wellbeing outcomes for adults with learning disabilities in Tower Hamlets. This role will be pivotal in increasing access to leisure facilities and health-promoting activities for residents with LD, ensuring they can fully participate in their community.
You will work closely with local health services, leisure providers, and community organisations to develop inclusive programmes, break down barriers to participation, and build capacity within the leisure sector.
This role will directly contribute to addressing health inequalities in the borough, supporting the key objectives of the Tower Hamlets Adults Learning Disability Strategy.
It’s an exciting opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of residents in Tower Hamlets by promoting inclusivity, health-equity, and social integration for people with learning disabilities.
