Our bumper week of goodbyes, celebrations, heat and trips.

Our last week of the year we chilled in the unprecedented heat with lots of water play and relaxing.

Four children move onto Reception this September and we are very proud of what they have achieved. They loved their moving animation books on the Ocean, Dinosaurs, Safari and more leaving presents.

Our Families Summer Picnic at Tooting Bec Lido went down very well and we visited Morden Hall Park and Deen City Farm on the last day.

Thanks as always to Totstars and we’ll see you in September for more ball skills.

We are located at Streatham Methodist Church, Riggindale Rd, SW16 1QH.

We offer 15/30 hours funded hours and a range of extra curricular activities within the preschool day.

Last week in summary

Our theme last week included looking at Space. We explored and named the eight planets in our solar system and their particular properties. We discussed what was up in space, how we travel to space and role played a trip to our favourite planet.

Children practiced single handheld tool skills and older children refined these skills by completing their own detailed cutting to make a rocket.

We had another visit to West Norwood fire station which is always a big hit and in particular using the hose to spray water.

Preschoolers continue their preparation for being school ready by remembering the rules of the classroom environment and increasingly accessing activities independently. They also hone their skills 'teaching' the younger children with some early maths and reading.

Coach Darien supports their confidence in ball and sport skills and we continue the hockey themed activities this week.

Our focus this term is to explore places and this week we look at our country and continents.

We reopen on Monday .. Progress reports completed from Spring term learning, individual next steps agreed and we’re ready for summer fun.

We are exploring ‘Places’. From our homes and countries to continents and space. We’re hatching Butterflies again and seeing where our green fingers and walks take us.
