July 2026 at Small Steps 👣

We celebrated the end of the school year with lots of graduations and amazing achievements from our Small Steppers - we couldn't be prouder!

This month saw a visit from the Hungarian Ambassador, an opportunity to showcase our work and impact.
We were also honoured to be at Wimbledon raising awareness for Small Steps, while 12 amazing runners took on the London 10K and raised over £15,000!

We're so grateful to the team from Westwood Energy for volunteering their time to clean one side of our building, helping to make our centre an even better place!

Finally, we delivered a workshop at Salesforce, continuing to spread awareness and share the life-changing work of Small Steps.

Thank you to everyone who supported us throughout July 🧡

Just 10 days to go until the Saucony London 10K! 🏃‍♀️🧡 Meet our incredible team of 10 runners!

Abdul, Stephanie, Cat, Gem and Astrid only completed the London Marathon a few months ago, but decided it would be fun to add another race to their tally with a 10K! We’re so grateful for their amazing dedication and support 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼

Beatriz is mum to Alvaro, who has been attending Small Steps for the past two years.

Danielle is nanny to Cosima, who joined the Small Steps family just a year ago.

Jamie is dad to Alys, who graduated just before Easter after benefiting from a whole year of Small Steps sessions.

And finally, Flóra and Bella, our wonderful conductor teachers, will be taking on their very first 10K challenge!

We are proud of every one of our runners and so thankful for their support of Small Steps. 🧡 Below is a list of all the fundraising pages (also available on the link in bio). If you’re able to, please do leave a donation or a few words of encouragement—they’ll mean the world to our team! ✨💪🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️

June 2026 at Small Steps 👣

Another exciting month as our children continued their journey around the world! From exploring India, Australia, America and France to discovering more about beaches, supermarket and zoo, through engaging sensory stories, every session was filled with opportunities to learn, explore and have fun.

Outside of our sessions, we were delighted to receive incredible support from our community. Oscar took on a cycling challenge, Susan completed a 50km walk in the Lake District, many parents baked delicious treats for our stall at Kew Fete, and others organised cake sales at their residence and Putney Station. Thanks to their enthusiasm, generosity and determination, they raised an amazing total of just under £10,000.

We were also proud to be made "Designated Institute for Practice for the András Pető Faculty", at a special Semmelweis University alumni at the Hungarian Embassy.

As always, a huge thank you to everyone who got involved 🧡

Throwback to 12 June, when history was made!

We are proud to announce that Small Steps is now officially a Designated Institute for Practice for the András Pető Faculty! An honour shared by only three other organisations worldwide. This means we can welcome conductor students from Budapest to complete part of their training with us, strengthening our global Pető connections and helping shape the next generation.

We received this prestigious title from the Dean at a special Semmelweis University alumni event at the Hungarian Embassy, made even more meaningful as our conductors are all proud alumni.

Earlier that day, we were delighted to host distinguished guests from Semmelweis University at Small Steps, including Dr Éva Szabó Feketéné, Dr Andrea Zsebe and Szabolcs Tiger, a wonderful chance to celebrate our impact and look ahead to an exciting future together.
