Carnival Fun in Pre-school

Our little ones got creative making beautiful rainbow streamers 🌈, enjoyed a delicious rainbow cake 🍰, and danced the day away to lively soca music 🎶💃🕺!

There were smiles, laughter, colour and plenty of carnival spirit! ✨

This week the Toddlers enjoyed exploring all the sea creatures through water play. They loved feeling the cool water on their skin and throwing the different animals into the colourful liquid. ✨🧪 Potion Making Fun! 🧙‍♀️🌈

Our pre schoolers had the most magical time creating colourful potions today! 💚💜💙 The children loved mixing vibrant colours together, carefully using pipettes to squeeze water into their cauldrons and adding exciting ingredients such as glitter, lollipop sticks and shiny paper to make their magical brews sparkle. ✨

This exciting sensory activity had the children thoroughly engaged from start to finish. As they carefully squeezed the pipettes and poured water using jugs, they were developing their fine and gross motor skills while building hand strength, coordination and control. They explored what happened when colours mixed together, showing curiosity and making simple predictions as they experimented with different materials and textures. Activities like these provide wonderful opportunities for children to explore, investigate and learn through play, supporting many areas of the EYFS in a fun, meaningful and engaging way.

A little bit of magic, lots of learning and plenty of sparkle! ✨💫

Celebrating World Ocean Day! 🐙🌊

Our toodlers enjoyed making colourful octopuses using paper plates and different craft materials. They also helped clean rubbish from the water tray while learning about sea life and the importance of keeping our oceans clean. 💙♻️

Toddler Room children have loved the water play activities this week! They had so much fun splashing about in the water trays. The water was very refreshing for the children and they thoroughly enjoyed using different tools, such as bowls and cups, to scoop up the water and and pour into other pots and pans and over each other as well to cool themselves down.

Babies have enjoyed playing with all the mirrors in the room this week. Following their reflection in the large mirror on the floor and smiling at themselves in the mirror blocks as they built towers. Mirrors provide babies with essential cognitive, motor and social development through tracking movements in their reflections, building muscles during tummy time, developing hand and eye coordination when balancing the blocks and eventually helping to develop early self-awareness and language skills.

One of our children’s Mummies has written a lovely book called ‘The Wizard’s Assistant’, a magical tale about honesty and kindness, and came in today to read it to our PreSchool & Nursery Class. The children listened to the story so nicely and then had fun joining in with the props and helped to act out the story
