Kids Alive International - UK Office

Kids Alive International - UK Office We keep in sight the vision of a world where every child grows up in a loving family and is given every opportunity to reach their full potential.

We are a Christian organisation that exists to transform trauma into triumph for some of the world’s most abused, marginalised and vulnerable children, of all faiths and none. We are part of the global Kids Alive family and we're privileged to see children with deep traumas being healed and restored to wholeness; children being reunited into family; communities and even nations influenced by God's kingdom values.

For a child who has experienced unimaginable trauma, justice can feel like a very long way away. πŸ’”

The average conviction rate for abusers is just 3%. But when children are supported by Kids Alive lawyers, that figure rises to 70%.
It all begins with something simple: holding the hand of a child who has been through unimaginable trauma and walking alongside her on the journey towards justice, protection and healing.

And right now, you can help make that journey possible.

πŸ’™ Until 30 September, every donation to our Justice That Heals, Kenya appeal will be DOUBLED by a generous donor.

Your gift could go twice as far in helping vulnerable children access the legal support and protection they desperately need.

A great day for families in Pucallpa, Peru! 🏑✨

Kids Alive Peru has launched its β€œParenting with Love” workshop, helping parents and caregivers build the skills needed to create safer, more loving and protective homes for children and young people.

We believe positive parenting is a skill that can be learned and strengthened in community. Through initiatives like this, we are helping to make the home a safe place where children can thrive. πŸ’›

Every child deserves to be safe, heard and given the opportunity to heal.

In Kenya, children who have experienced sexual abuse can face a long and difficult journey towards both justice and recovery. Too often, they are left to navigate trauma and the legal system without the support they desperately need.
Our new Justice that Heals project brings these two vital things together – providing specialist trauma care alongside legal advocacy and support – so that children can begin to heal while pursuing justice.

One of the children we are supporting is Angel, a bright 9-year-old girl who suffered ongoing abuse and neglect after losing both her mum and grandmother. Now, with the right care and support, there is hope for a different future. πŸ’›

And there’s some wonderful news…

🎁 Until 30th September, every donation to our Justice that Heals Appeal will be π˜Ώπ™Šπ™π˜½π™‡π™€π˜Ώ by a generous supporter! So your gift can go twice as far.

Your generosity could help provide trauma therapy, legal casework and the support a vulnerable child needs to move towards healing and a safer future.

Find out more and donate on the link below
Angel’s name has been changed to protect her privacy.

Until 30th September, every donation to our Justice that Heals Appeal will be doubled, helping twice as many children recover and move towards a safer, brighter future.

This year's summer camp looked a bit different. Despite great challenges, Kids Alive Haiti has remained committed to creating a safe and welcoming place for the children in our care.
Certain areas of Haiti are still experiencing civil unrest. Our campus has not been affected, and the children remain safe throughout the programmes.
After exams, students came back for summer camp. Even in the midst of difficulty, our staff provided sports, art activities, and classes on etiquette, writing, and computer science. Now that September has arrived, the new school year is underway.
This year reminded us that even when circumstances change, beautiful moments can still be created, and God is still watching over us. πŸ™ Please pray for Haiti, for peace and security, for the families of these children, and for God’s protection over our communities

When you show and stay, here’s the story you’re part of.
In Zambia, the number one reason girls drop out of school is because they get their period and don’t have the resources they need.
One of the life skills we teach the students is sewing. This young man is working on that very project so that his classmates can stay in school.
Thank YOU for staying!

This July in Zambia, hope showed up in the details.
- Twenty-one therapy sessions gave children space to heal from trauma.
- Nine staff members completed training in trauma-informed care, so that healing continues long after each session ends.
- Three active legal cases are moving forward, protecting children who need it most.
- And 577 children received education or housing this month alone.
Behind every number is a child’s story, a family strengthened, a future being restored.
Thank you for showing up, staying, and making this work possible.

Fun and positive experiences provide valuable opportunities for Kids Alive Kenya mentors to connect with children and build lasting, trusting relationships. πŸ’™

Through these relationships, mentors support children as they grow in confidence, develop important life skills and prepare for a brighter future.

Breaking the cycle of poverty and abuse starts with giving children the care, support and opportunities they deserve.

Kids Alive Kenya is committed to this journey through its Hope Centres in Nairobi, Nyeri and Kisii.

Over two days, the Kids Alive team in Guatemala recently came together for its first prayer retreat β€” a special time to rest, reconnect with God and refocus. πŸ™

The retreat provided a valuable opportunity for the team to reflect, pray together and return refreshed and encouraged for the work ahead.

Seeing the girls and boys laugh, choose their favourite movie and sit excitedly in the cinema was a priceless experience. ❀️

Recently, the girls, boys and teenagers from the Kids Alive Residential Care Centre in Lima, Peru enjoyed a special trip to the cinema to watch a movie together. Although it may seem like a simple outing, for them it was a meaningful opportunity to have fun, make memories and simply enjoy being children and teenagers.

They laughed, chatted about the movie and left the cinema with hearts full of excitement and joy. Moments like these are a wonderful reminder of why this work matters so much.

At Kids Alive, comprehensive care goes far beyond providing a safe place to live. Creating opportunities for children and young people to enjoy activities outside the centre, build relationships and experience new things is an important part of their growth and development.

Kids Alive wants every child in its care to have the happy, enriching experiences that are such an important part of childhood and adolescence β€” because every child deserves the opportunity to simply be a child.
