⭐ Using ESTAR to describe a state
We use the verb ESTAR to talk about the state or condition of a person, animal, place, or object at a particular moment.
A state is usually temporary, which means it can change.
For example:
🎒 La mochila está vacía. → The backpack is empty.
🎒 La mochila está llena. → The backpack is full.
😊 Ella está feliz. → She is happy.
😴 Él está cansado. → He is tired.
✨ Remember: If you are describing how someone or something is right now, use ESTAR.
⚠️ WATCH OUT! A state can change. Something that está vacío now can estar lleno later! 🚀
